Avocado for me. love the album from start to finish, love the boots from the tour, Immagine In Cornice is amazing. Riot Act is a close second though

Binaural has so much depth. It is just behind No Code and Yield for me. Such a great record that is one of those albums you need to listen to more than a few times to “get it”.

knowing now what we didn't know quite then, except for some rumored tracklists that ultimately changed, if you swapped a few of the lost dogs tracks for a couple on binaural itself, it may have arguably been pjs greatest record.
His eminence has yet to show.

I still don't "get it" after 20 years.

Self-titled is in the lead with 36%.   Followed by binaural (23%), backspacer (22%) then riot act (19%).

Same. There are some good songs but as a whole it has never grabbed me.

I much prefer the live performance from the 2000 bootlegs. I even made a little mix a few years ago that I'd be happy to share (if allowed to do so).

I’d have to go with Avocado. Most complete album that really set the stage for PJ’s second half of their career. Riot Act is good, but always had too many songs I wanted to skip or had to be in the right mood for, and binaural has some amazingly beautiful songs but feels disjointed at times. Grievance is probably in my top 10, and Light Years is no slouch either. But as a whole, I’d rather listen straight through Self Titled

ST starts decent and ends strongly but that middle run of songs kills it.

Binaural, whilst also uneven in places, is far more interesting to me. Of the Girl, Light Years, Parting Ways, Nothing as it Seems and Insignificance are all better than anything on ST IMO.

Common theme for these 4 albums, the weird track ordering, especially on ST where all the heavy hitters are on side A.

    2012 : Amsterdam 2
    2014 : Amsterdam 1&2, Milan, Berlin, Werchter
    2018 : Amsterdam 1&2, Pinkpop, London 1, Berlin, Werchter, London 2
    2020 : ?

Backspacer and ST are two of my favorites, but in the end I chose Backspacer because of the fond memories I have for it.  It was the first album I ever pre-ordered.  It took me two tries before I found a record store that had any vinyl pre-orders left.  Also bought "The Fixer" single around the same day I made the pre-order.  I thought it was so cool that the vinyl was a different color from the usual.  I still love it when I buy a vinyl record that is a different color from the usual.  I also remember talking to one of my high school teachers about "Just Breathe" and discussing what the lyrics meant.
