** TOP TEN SONGS OF 2019 **

I'm counting down the 10 best songs of the year (haven't listened enough to new albums this year) on my instagram. Anyone have any lists of their own?

1. GARY CLARK JR. - THIS LAND
2. NOEL GALLAGHER - SAIL ON
3. TAYLOR SWIFT - LOVER
4. LEONARD COHEN - WHAT HAPPENS TO THE HEART
5. MELISSA HORN - KONSTGJORD ANDNING
6. ALANIS MORISSETTE - REASONS I DRINK
7. HURULA - JÄRNVÄGSBRON
8. LIAM GALLAGHER - HALO
9. TEGAN AND SARA - I'LL BE BACK SOMEDAY
10. GHOST - KISS THE GO-GOAT

Haven’t listened enough to albums in 2019. But here are 10 songs that were/are great. ”But he’s the guy you wanna do. And you know that it takes two. Luckily he wants to do you too. Satan. Lu-ci-fer” is the best lyric of 2019.

https://youtu.be/Db86lpidcz4

Haven’t had the time to really embrace the album, but I’m okey with their era of ”taking market shares from Taylor Swift” is going away judging by the rocking single.

https://youtu.be/7PRtBDpm6zY

Cheesiest song on Liams latest album. But when his brother is turning crankier by the minute Liams positive outlook on life and cute lyrics become charmingly adoring. ”When it’s freezing she’s my mittens and my coat. When I get too hot, she’s my lager nice and cold” is the second best lyric of 2019.

https://youtu.be/vnj0lAsz4pI

Håkan Hellström fused with Thåström’s early 2000 production works very well. Evident by the first track from Hurula’s latest album, dripping with northern social realism.

https://youtu.be/U20KWiqvmxE

Looking forward to the new album. Great lead single with Alanis clever perspectives and quirky lyrics.

When someone who writes the same song over, and over, and over, and over again gets it right - they get it right.

https://youtu.be/vAdzC8tOq7Y

A somber epilouge from a true poet.

Say what you want, but Taylor Swift describes all phases of love better than you.

No one writes songs with such an ease as Noel Gallagher. 75 % of them might be stolen. But still. I don’t think this masterpiece is ripped from anywhere.

Best song of the year. Nothing beats uncompromised rock with a strong message (so lets hope Pearl Jam have their shit together for their 2020 album).

He recorded vocal parts when he knew he was going to die, and had his son Adam finish the songs:

Ahhhh, Like Johnny Cash did.  All he wanted to do was record.  He knew he wasn't going to last.

    Warren Zevon did that too.
