It’s time though. Vietnam, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, throw in Jakarta, Bangkok, Sapporo, Tokyo and Taipai. Maybe throw in Singapore. It’d be epic.

Dimi suggested Australia 2021. Was hoping for late 2020!! You’d think if they come all the way here then a NZ leg would ensue. Would like to see them go back to Asia proper but I’m starting to doubt they’ll ever go back. Are there any big festivals in the Asian region? Japan in particular?

Fuji Festival is pretty big.  Clockenflap in HK is pretty cool, but cancelled because #FuckChina.  :(  Tenacious D and Stone Roses there in the past.

Here in Taipei some small musical festivals.

Going to Australia and New Zealand is cool, but still a 10 hour flight from Asia.  not much different than going to NA or Europe.

I WISH I HAD SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT IT.
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”

Asia tour 2020 would be amazing no question.  However, you are categorically incorrect to blame Clockenflap’s cancellation on China period. You’ve boiled down a highly complex, politically charged issue to 2 words literally, without providing due or accurate context or nuances to the reasons for Clockenflap’s cancellation or the wider issue affecting HK.  Living in the city I witnessed things in HK first hand so it made me cringe to read the comment in such a throwaway manner.

This is a music forum so that’s all I want to say about politics here but I wanted to point this out, that’s all.  Looking forward to more PJ music activities in 2020.  Peace.

My wife is from the Philippines, and is trying to get me to go there with her. I told her I'll go when PJ plays a show :)

Maybe you should not base whether or not you visit your wife's homeland on if a band is playing there or not. Phillipines is great! Just get out of Manila and explore the archipelago.

    • My wife is Thai. She said will provide all translation needs for the band while in Thailand. She was also a tourism major. She wants a PJ return to Thailand! Every time I say a tour announcement is com8ng she asks if I think they will go back to Asia. We go back every year. Such a great country, such friendly people. Would be a blast to hit a run through Asia.

I've lived in Hong Kong for 10 years and Taiwan for 6.  I know exactly what China is doing to HK and trying to do to Taiwan.  So yes.... #FuckChina

I wholeheartedly disagree with you on this for the reasons I’ve already stated, as a start. But this is a music site, not a place for political debate.

Here’s hoping for an Asian tour in 2020 in support of a new album that brings some new sounds and textures from the band.
