Same Song Title, Different Band/Artist: "Freedom"

Happy Friday!  This week I am going with the song title, "Freedom."  Bear with me this week, because I am breaking my own rule on exact title.  The inspiration for this title was titled to differentiate itself (Freedom '90) from the same title by a different band (Wham!) who had George Michael in it.  Feel free to go off the board if you don't see your favorite below. If anyone else has a song title they would like for me to include, please feel free to PM me!
  • Paul McCartney - Released as a single in 2001, off of his album "Driving Rain"
  • Wham! - Released as a single in 1984, off of their album "Make it Big"
  • The Isley Brothers - Released in 1970, off of their album ""Get Into Something"
  • George Michael - Released as a single in 1990, off of his album "Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1"
  • Rage Against the Machine - Released as a single in 1994, off of their self-titled album
  • Beyonce - Released as a single in 2016, off of her album "Lemonade"
  • Nicki Minaj - Released as a single in 2012, off of her album "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - The Re-Up"
  • Pitbull - Released in 2017, off of his album "Climate Change"
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

Not even close. Awesome song. The build up at the end is mesmerizing.

    Ahhh, great one with Richie.

Me, I'm not really a RATM fan, and I think George has a beautiful - and often underrated - voice.

Once again, I must go with "other".  I got to see these guys play this song for a benefit show held in a very cool old church back around 1968 or '69:

Here's a live version of "Freedom" that moves into another song of theirs, "Get High", from San Francisco's Winterland:

Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

Officially titled Freedom! '90, the 90 was only included to distinguish it from the Wham! song of the same name.  George wrote the song as an anthem to both his success with Wham! and his cynicism toward the music industry.  Contrary to popular belief, it is not a "coming out" song.  It's about his desire to liberate himself from the record labels and do things on his own terms.  This was manifested in the David Fincher-directed video for the song, in which the jukebox, guitar, & leather jacket from the Faith video were all set ablaze.  Oh yeah, there were scantily-clad supermodels, too.

I got excited to vote for Richie when I saw the thread title. Too bad he's not on here.
One of the coolest dudes I've ever met. Sometime in the early 90's I got to hang out with him in his dressing room before a show for about twenty minutes.
