Same Song Title, Different Band/Artist: "Wish You Were Here”

Happy Friday!  This week I am going with the song title, "Wish You Were Here."  Feel free to go off the board if you don't see your favorite below. If anyone else has a song title they would like for me to include, please feel free to PM me!
  • Pink Floyd - Released in 1975 as the title track of the album with the same name
  • Incubus - Released as a single in 2001, off of the album "Morning View"

I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

I seem to like Pink Floyd songs a lot more when Ed sings them... 🤷🏼‍♀️ So Incubus for me

Back when Incubus's version come out, I was super into Incubus and loved Morning View.  It's more personally how I enjoy the song than whether or not it's better for me.

Thank you for introducing me to that Bee Gees tune @cdthomas1981:smiley: Wowow that was quite... mmmm something. I thought a melodic Bee Gees song might sway my vote but it didn't quite work that way this time ;)

Pretty simple.  Looked for Pink Floyd's name and voted for it.

Voted for Pink Floyd because it’s such a powerful song (Syd Barrett and all) but I enjoy that Incubus song every time I hear it as well.  Fact is,
I generally turn up the volume whenever I hear either 👍

    Same here, exactly!

I still prefer Floyd over it (and sorry to Ed; to my ears, his voice just doesn't suit the song - at least from the versions I've heard).

Incubus song was really good for the time when it came out.  I still like hearing it too.

I’m not a Pink Floyd fan at all but this is such a great song
    “Do not postpone happiness”
    (Jeff Tweedy, Sydney 2007)

“Put yer good money on the sunrise”
    (Tim Rogers)
