I love "Down"

yep, that intro is great, and it has a good tune/rythm/beat.
One time I was trying to print a picture of me so I could give it to a friend to cheer him up after he was diagnosed with cancer, but the printer jammed, and my friend died.

    I love it too. Lets talk more about it. The vocal is feckin brilliant. I love the little solo too, especially the Benaroya one.

    Man, this song is one of their best, a little gem of a tune, really uplifting.


    Love how its used on L@TG, all clips of the band and Eddie zooming past on a skateboard with his camera.

    The bridge lyrics... "Won't let the light escape from me, won't let the darkness swallow me!" Maybe the most hopeful lyrics Ed's ever wrote... and music, and solo, are just badass. I love how they breakdown to half-time at the end of the tune... this song is a musician's wet dream of a good rock song.

    the only thing i have against it is that the ending jam dosent go on a little longer, its a fun one to play accoustic

    Perhaps the most underrated Pearl Jam song. It needs to be talked about more often. It's my favorite Pearl Jam song to play, probably because I like playing in G major. What can I say.. it's a great song.

    When i first got lost dogs I was expecting to be a melancholy song, but for a song called down it's surprisingly upbeat.

    Agree with you both. Undone is also good while driving on a sunny day with your windows down, evenmore if you're driving through countryside; and not just because the booklet says so.
