Favorite Pearl Jam Guitar

What are some of your favorite guitar parts in pearl jam. Solos, rhythm, anything. What guitar parts make u feel something... happy sad... angry?

One of mine is no doubt Yellow Ledbetter. I can listen to that guitar forever. It just has the power to soothe me.

Another would be Jeremy. The guitar is so appropriate for that song. Harsh yet it flows.

  • In Hiding has some really nice guitar lines.

I like Who You Are's open string melodies a lot.

Save You is a great riff.

Then every single song they have has amazing guitar in it.

  • I like the bluesy solos that Mike does...I think my favorites are Red Mosquito, Nothing as it Seems, and Dissident.

  • Nothing As It Seems moves me everytime I hear it. I get taken to another place whenever I hear them play it live...
  • Man of the Hour... I can play that for 'hours' (HA! HA! Sorry...<() without getting bored of it. Just a beautiful melody...

Also the Dissident lead parts, cos I'm an 80's rock kinda guy, and Mike's solo in Off He Goes from Benaroya.
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

  • for some odd reason I really love the 19 second guitar solo in "animal". it just really carries the song along.

love the solo in "immortality" as well. and the fade out of "corduroy" and the opening riff. in fact, my favorite just plain riff of pearl jam's is easily "corduroy"

"spin the black circle" riff is cool

love "go"'s bass. but I guess that ain't guitar though.

"not for you"'s riff is really simple and hard-edged and flows really well

"present tense" riff is touching and soothing

"glorified g" solo is really great. as well as the solo in "alive"

"red mosquito" guitarwork is really inventive and interesting.

"yellow ledbetter". need I say more about this song besides the title?

    more later

I love the last simple little lead at the end of I am Mine. Very powerful Live.
