Anti Zionism is not Anti Semitism

Most antizionists are antisemites

I don't really have any in-depth interpretation. I think it's just advising you to Grab life With Both Hands, and make the most of it. I love the song lots :)
I'll Ride The Wave Where It Takes Me
  • I think the song may have been written in response to pearl jams first real taste of fame(All these reaching hands out grabbing things) and how eddie may have felt overwhelmed and suffocated by the attention and sudden popularity

I always thought the song was about abortion. I cant remember why. I think one day I mis heard a lyric or heard it out of context and it just seemed right.

since it was written at the same time that ten was recorded I don't think it
has much to do with fame. someone else mentioned it but I think that it has
to do with just being alive and there are a lot of things that can bring you down but just get out and enjoy life.

    oh, tonight began with anything
shaft of a light, warm breath and a scream
oh, tamper if you like between the doors
oh, can't expect to go out, to go out with anything, anything more
oh reach the door, a breath and a...
oh reach the door...and a la la la la yeah
    life ain't what it's worth
a breath and a...oh reach the door
all these reaching hands out grabbing things...grabbing me
    day in day out accumulating
whoa, i suggest you step out on your porch
run away my son...see it all...oh see the world
oh reach the door...a breath and a...
oh reach the door...oha and a la la la la yeah
    life ain't what it's worth
a breath and a...oh reach the door
come, here it comes, there it goes, when it comes
where it goes, where it comes
    can't see through the faith...woah
ooh come, here it comes, there it goes
    grasp what you can
don't you know there's something inside your head, yeah
oh, if i knew where it was i would take you there but there's much more than this
ooh whoa, much more than this
    oh see the world
    much more than...
    oh, much more than...why?
Take time to see the sky,
    Find shapes in the clouds.
Hear the murmur of the wind
    and touch the cool water.
    Walk softly,
    we are intruders,
    tolerated briefly
    In an infinite universe.
  • I think it's about learning things for yourself. Experiencing what's wrong and what's right by making mistakes and understanding the error in your ways. Many people can show you the way but the only way you ever really learn anything that sticks with you is if you learn it alone and deal with your faults head on.

What i know about this song is to quote Ed 2003 boot either Philly or Detroit

"Stone wrote this in his sleep, well within minutes of waking up"...
  • I guess hearing Ed say something like that brings new life to the lyrics. You can look at it like trying to remember a dream. We all wake up from dreams and see the end of it kind of dwindling away in front of us, trying to grasp on and remember everything as it fades away. Reading over it, I guess you can go there.
