I need a PJ researcher

So my wife Tracy is a big fan of the band but didn’t really come on board until the mid-2000s. She says she’s been noticing every time she hears a song on Pandora that she loves and check the lyrics it’s written by someone other than Ed. She’s trying to tell me Eddie didn’t write as many lyrics as people think. I said that was probably the music, and she’s saying no, music and lyrics were different people at times. Anyway, anyone want to dig and confirm not only how many original PJ/ED songs, but also confirm how many had lyrics written by Ed? I’d say 98% but I may be off.  And please, I’m trying to get an actual answer so please no guessing. Thank you

Wikipedia is gonna tell you everything you need to know. eg No Code: All lyrics by EV except for Mankind. Backspacer all lyrics by EV and so on. Yield has the most lyrics by the other ones (5)

That’s where Wikipedia doesn‘t separate music and lyrics. But most songs have EV in brackets as well and even some that have more names, like Footsteps, have EV lyrics. Stone wrote the music. Fatal is a Stone song.
I’m sure the internet would tell you though if you dug a bit

Thank you. I have a feeling someone on here knows this answer, maybe by heart

I am, but I also feel some people are up to the challenge for themselves. If this was a Cubs question I’d give it some effort for my own curiosity.

Ten - Vedder all lyrics, 11/11 songs
vs - Vedder all lyrics, 12/12 songs
Vitalogy - Vedder all lyrics, can debate the concept of songs on this til cows come home, I'll call it 11/11 including Bugs
No code - Vedder all lyrics except Mankind (Gossard) and Smile gets a big assist from Dennis Flemion of The Frogs, 9/11 songs
Yield - Gossard No way, All those yesterdays; Ament Pilate, Lowlight; Jack Irons is credited for all of Red Dot/untitled (not that untitled) on the record, Vedder 8/13
Binaural - Ament God's Dice, Nothing As it Seems; Gossard Thin Air, Of the Girl, Rival; Vedder 8/13
Riot Act - this is the more "assist" of the records in that guys had mostly completed lyrics or ideas, Vedder tweaked a bit, particularly Bushleaguer with Gossard - Ament Ghost, Help Help; Cameron You Are, Get Right; Gossard Bushleaguer, All or None; Vedder is sole lyric writer on 8/14 with Arc not having lyrics.
S/T - Vedder is 12/13 on this record with an assist to Damien Nichols, Mcready wrote the final track Inside Job.
Lightning Bolt - Vedder all lyrics 12/12

The mix on the musical writing credits is far more diverse.  The breakout for any b-sides, songs found on lost dogs etc falls pretty much in line with the era of the records.  Vedder wrote the lyrics for songs such as Alone, Wash, Hold On, Footsteps, Ledbetter - Gossard has his first lyric credit among these with Don't Gimme No Lip for the No Code era, and Fatal from Binaural - pretty sure that Cameron wrote lyrics to one of In the Moonlight and Hitchhiker, Vedder is Education and Sad from that time frame.  Ament - Sweet Lew - Vedder Down, Undone during Riot Act.  There are many more, I have to go to work though.  You get the gist, Vedder has written well over 80% of the lyrical content of PJ songs.
His eminence has yet to show.

All of this thorough research but you didn't mention anything about Backspacer. Maybe it was intentional. ;-)

There was a lyrics site that had some of their songs credited to other people. I forget which one? They've probably corrected since. But maybe it got the information from that site. Amazon uses lyrics from one of these sites.

Thank you. Backspacer was all Ed. Interesting how 2 of my all time favorite songs were written by Mike (Inside Job) and Jeff (LowLight). Fatal also a win by Stone. Tracy’s entire argument was that someone couldn’t have written that much “real stuff” it is pretty insane to think that Ed’s brain has so many amazing thoughts.

HA! I somehow did not type it or accidentally deleted that line.  As posted after it was 100% Ed on that one.  It is my least favorite record of theirs, but that was not a purposeful or Freudian omission, just an error.  BoB popified that record too much.
