I really relate to this song. I wonder what other people think it is about?
To me, it's about a guy becoming agoraphobic and developing an ED.

    I love this song too. I can also relate. I'm not positive what it is about. To me, it is about just keeping ourself away from everyone else and just being by yourself. Kinda scared to go into the world??

    anxiety attacks and feeling like your life is closing in, you just want to shut it out, problems and reality

    get away for awhile and it's all better, it's small then

    I always thought it was about Eddie not really able to deal with being a celebrity. He was always hiding. After a while he figured how dumb it was to let that taking control of his life. That what the "It's funny how things change so much, it's all state of mind" line is about. Could be way off here though.

    ive been listening to in hiding alot now

    ever since i watched single video theory again, recently, ive just got into alot of stuff from yeild

    There's a sentence in the book that accompanies the Yield album which, if my memory serves me, goes "..after three days alone in a room with nothing, the first person you see sets you back 50%..", and this is what I percieve the song to be about. Locked in an apartment with nothing but your self, your memories and your emotions to distract you. Fasting for the soul, if you like.

    "I shut and locked the front door, no way in or out...I turned and walked the hall-way and pulled the curtains down"

    All this aside, I also love this song from a musical point of view. It is deeply emotional and emphatic from beginning to end, perfectly complimenting Ed's lyrics.
