    Also...a blue state.
Start there then head to CA? Would be an epic way to kick things off.

If the state boarders one of the great lakes, does that count as a beach state?

At least Pearl Jam won't have any issues scheduling a show at LCA after April 4! In Stevie we trust!

2009 was the strangest tour I can remember. London, UK then Toronto. Bouncing back and forth between Cali and Texas.
Yeah it was super strange. Started in Calgary followed quickly with 5 shows in Europe followed quickly by Toronto! Interesting in that it was an album year as well

My wife has signed off on that return trip already, so if I can sync it up and see PJ at the same time....that is beyond worth it, assuming they play there again. Im sure you enjoyed.

Def. not a beach state. I saw what my brother considered a beach on Grand Island, NY and it was laughable.

Comedian Craig Gass posted to twitter that he is having a roast in Hawaii on Feb 15, and members of a few bands would be there, including Pearl Jam. So maybe it coincides with the rest of the band being nearby for a show?

He also indicated it is over before nhl/nba playoffs. Which are early april. It has to be late February to early april. No other window fits.

Oh, ok. Can’t be too early though with an announcement in January, right?! Maybe it’s only four weeks like the Euro tour

If not today, then probably not this year at all. Isn't the 10c typically closed the last couple weeks of the year?
He said he better be playing
    meaning the playoffs

    Event

    The Roast of Craig Gass
Comedian Craig Gass turns 50 on February 15th, and all of his friends from around the world are turning out to roast him! It will not be for the easily offended.

    Scheduled to appear:

Courtney Cronin (From The Roasts of Gene Simmons, Carson Daly and Dee Snider)
    Jason Stewart (Howard Stern Show)
Brian Beaudoin (MTV, Sirius/XM, Wicked Funny Podcast)
Eric Hofer (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Young and The Restless)
Ted Anderson (Winer of Funniest Person In Maui)
    Chuck Thompson (Power Up Comedy)

As well as pretaped segments from members of:

    Maroon 5
    The Goo Goo Dolls
    Five Finger Death Punch
    Megadeth
    Steel Panther
    The Seattle Seahawks

    ProArts on Maui (View)
    1280 South Kihei Road
    Kihei, HI 96753
    United States

    ...

I'm gonna say pre taped segments from members of Pearl Jam to be included?

If not, Mike McCready will be there if the band isn't playing in HI.

These seem like clues for both legs

If it's expensive to take gear and setup down under for many shows, it must be crazy expensive to take it to Hawaii for one or two shows.

Obviously the guitars and drums and stuff are theirs, but I wonder how much stuff is rented "locally"... Lights? Stage?

Hawaii in February would seem impossible with January announcement.  Ed lives in Hawaii so I don’t think it means much that he would be at an event there that is featuring other prominent musicians.
