Arctic waterfalls sprout from the Nordaustlandet ice cap as it gushes high volumes of meltwater – a striking reminder of this icy ecosystem's fragility. Even though this image was taken just 600 miles from the North Pole, the temperature hovered in the high 60's (ºF). Thanks to climate change, the Arctic could be completely devoid of sea ice during the summer months within the next 10 to 20 years.

I started reading about arctic ice melting and one of the things that came up was about permafrost being exposed and revealing mammoth bones and in some cases, well preserved ones. Which was fascinating but scary that it’s happening. That was the starting point for the idea, one thing lead to another and .....viola!" -Ken Taylor

Early last year I was fortunate enough to be back working with @MrTsurt & @IanWilliamsArt on Pearl Jam designs for the upcoming Gigaton Tour of the US and Canada. Sadly just as we finalised all the designs a pandemic happened and the tour was cancelled. Here’s one of the designs from the series. The theme was based around how climate change may effect each of cities/regions/states the shows would be played. Stickers and Buttons of the designs have since been released for sale on the Pearl Jam online store. I’ll post some more of the designs over the next few weeks. #PearlJam #Gigaton #Oklahoma #PearljamOfficial #PearlJamFamily #PearlJamFan #SeattleSound #EddieVedder #JeffAment #StoneGossard #MikeMcCready #MattCameron #TravisPrice

For such a “fan friendly” band, it’s extremely disappointing that over the past year we got absolutely nothing from them. I don’t count merch and livestreams of old shows. They really couldn’t get together and play some live streamed music ?
No offense, but at this stage of their career - 31 years in - it's amazing they're still here at all given how much they've given to fans. And they're still humans, also with families - i'm sure just like myself, trying to survive during this. I know I could barely think about my work at several points last year. They don't owe us anything.

Yea…. This is the more sensible, other side of my earlier post. I can’t help but to feel that way sometimes though.

I get it. I've felt the same way a few times. But in reality, it's just not, well....reality. for them to get together, fly across the country or countries to do something for the fans, putting themselves and others at risk. I think the ones who did the live streams did so out of necessity.

They could've livestreamed a show of them playing in their studio or garage or something. Or done SNL or Colbert remotely. Lots of bands did that over the last year or so. Since they put out a new album right at the start of the pandemic, I would've thought might want to promote it a little bit at least...

I don't know why I'm continually surprised at how many selfish fans this band has. Some people will complain about anything. They don't owe you shit. I'm thankful we got Gigaton (one of the best albums of their career) and we've got a tour to look forward to. Everyone should be grateful we still have a band to be fans of. Very few make it this long and with people constantly complaining about everything, I'm sure it's exhausting for a band. It's a miracle they still want to do it at all.
