Installing an SSL Certificate

Does anybody know how to install an SSL certificate?  I have a pretty simple website for my business (domain is  on Go Daddy and I edit the site on WordPress) and I've been told it's bad for google search purposes to not have the security.  If anybody knows how to do this and can walk me through it, I would really appreciate your help.

I purchased the certificate but installing it has me completely confused.

Is your website on a server that you own? Or do you also have a web hosting service through GoDaddy? If you're on a shared platform at GoDaddy, and you ordered the certificate through them, it should get automatically installed for you. If it is your server (or one you lease) you'll need to have either physical or remote access to the server in order to do the installation yourself.
