Really really sad. I was so inspired by his comments and demeanour during the public hearing of his I watched this year, I almost saw it as heroic. I hope his behaviours and integrity inspire for years and years to come.

  • i'm shocked and surprised at trump's tweet about it. whether he wrote it or not to me is irrelevant (we all know politicians have stuff written in their name all the time). i thought for sure he'd either say nothing or it would be a backhanded compliment of some kind.

  • I just got done seeing a bunch of negative conservative quotes about him.  Completely the opposite of this thread.

It's amazing how there is a line in the sand that people don't cross.

Sad to lose a good one.  R.I.P. Elijah Cummings.

I'm not convinced he did...but despite my reply, I agree; it doesn't matter.  A lot of stuff is written for Presidents (and CEOs, etc.).  Twitter is the semi-official representation of the president, and the reply to Cummings' death was handled well.  To me, it's the kind of tweet to not comment on.

One thing for sure re. Trump- it's always very easy to tell when something he says comes out of his head or off a script!
