something about an "unworthy band"?

I heard this live playing of "Mankind" and at the end Ed says something like, "alright, here's a song that some unworthy band was trying to play last night, at some award show or something. Well, we're going to stomp on them by showing them how it's really done. And to all these corporate cocksuckers..."

Anybody know what band and song he's refering to?

    yes, 3rd eye blink played baba oriley the night before at a music awards ceremony, an pearl jam obviously thought they butchered it so they showed them how its really done :)
