    So happy I am finally getting Mirrorball on vinyl. Also a great compilation with the other 3 albums & congrats to Neil on not having postage added on which always puts the price through the roof

    A strange update from John Hanlon today. Apparently Mirror Ball Live will be spread over 3 sides of vinyl, but will only have 7 songs on it?!


    What happened to the other 8 songs? 30 years of waiting, for only half a show? I know all of the Mirror Ball songs that were played are included, but why leave a side blank if there are other songs that could’ve been included?

    $254 is insane. 
    Neil releases the box sets first, then the separate albums later. The standalone vinyl will probably be released next year if previous sets are a guide.
     
    For reference, the ORS 5 box was July 2023, and the individual records were October 2024.

    I asked the same question yesterday ⬆️ It’s such a waste of an empty Side 4.

    I guess it’s Neil being Neil. It’s kinda like how the Dreaming Man record was Harvest Moon Live. Only 6 Mirror Ball songs were played in Dublin and they’re all included (plus Mr Soul for some reason).

    It would’ve been nice to include I’m The Ocean and Throw Your Hatred Down from other shows on the tour to make it a more complete Mirror Ball Live record though. (Truth Be Known wasn’t played on that tour, and What Happened Yesterday and Fallen Angel have never been played.)

    Why not at least include RITFW as it’s basically a PJ song these days anyway?

    Yeah, what a real disappointment after all these years of waiting. Maybe there will be a blu-ray of the full show.
