Jeremy interpretation

Anyone have any ideas about what jeremy is about?

    well i know what its about for gods sake its not hard, but does jeremy kill himself or his class? in the video it shows him pulling out a gun and later on that the whole class is frozen and splattered in blood but is that jeremy's blood or the kid's blood? i feel like they are frozen at the end b/c they're dead but in the towards the end when eddie's singing he puts his fingers up to his head like hes about to kill himself.. i just want other people's opinions

    Jeremy is actually about a 16 year old boy(called Jeremy) who killed himself in front of the English class.
    Eddie saw that on a newspaper and wrote a song inspired on it.

    I agree, people about my age (18) haven't been here since the beginning, so we're not all gonna know what Jeremy was about. The guy's asking so we can tell him!     so he kills himself but does he shoot others in his class? i heard that he shot two other students but i'm not sure if its true. The kids in the front row do have blood splattered on them... and a kind of look on their faces that says o god, i'm going to die.. but i might have misinterpreted it and they're just scared for jeremy

    in the original version Jeremy puts the gun in his mouth but it was edited out, along with a bunch of other crazy stuff, they had the video on "The most controversial videos of all time"unedited. I think it was on MTV, but MTV sucks so it probably wont be shown again.

    Hi, I'm the new girl, I'm not sure how i enter into these conversations butlet me say that i have been reading them and find them really interesting. I love Pearl Jam. I have just dusted off Lost Dogs again, does anyone like the song Sad? It's my favorite at the moment.
    Well, i hope to spend many long hours discussing the awesomeness that is Pearl Jam.
