as much as i loved jason-era metallica, he's nowhere near the top. i'm not a finger-bass-playing snob, (I play with a pic sometimes too, depending on the speed and technicality of the song), but you can't be in the top anything if you don't play with your fingers.
i did hate, however, how the rest of the band made fun of him for that after rob was hired. thought that was super petty of them. and why hire him if you didn't like his playing style?
