Same Song Title, Different Band/Artist: "Jump”

Happy Friday!  This week I am going with the song title, "Jump." If there's not a band or artist listed that you feel should be, please feel free to bring it up!
  • Van Halen - Released as a single in 1983, off of their album "1984"
  • Pointer Sisters - Released as a single in 1984, off of their album "Break Out"
  • Kris Kross - Released as a single in 1992, off of their album "Totally Krossed Out"
  • Derek and Clive - Released in 1976, off of the album "Derek and Clive (Live)"
  • Simple Plan - Released in 2004, off of their album "Still Not Getting Any"
  • Rihanna - Released as a single in 2014, off of her album "Unapologetic"
  • Flo Rida - Released as a single in 2009, off of his album "R.O.O.T.S."
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

I like Van Halen's Jump more, but this one is a fucking ear worm that doesn't quit.

I have a feeling @eeriepadave will include it on the CBNC for this week.

    classic!

Just listened to 1984 the other day.  Damn, what a good album that was!
Really like Kris Kross, too.  Pointer Sisters would come in 3rd. No others would receive votes.

I'm pretty sure none of the others will receive a vote.  I was just throwing out more options to show how much the title has been used.

    Well I don’t have to now 😛

VH is the one song that made me love that band!

The Pointer Sisters is a close second though.

That Kriss Kross song was a joke and thank God it was a short lived fad with people putting their clothes on backwards...It was wikety wikety wikety whack.

The top 3 are all great songs, but only 1 came out at the right time for me to fully be immersed in from a social standpoint. VH and Pointers were already classics by the time I could enjoy them. Any song you lived through always "jumps" to the top for me. Our 7th grade homeroom skit was me and a friend lip syncing to Kriss Kross' Jump wearing our clothes backwards while everyone else jumped around and danced in the background. It was awesome!

And I'll pile on that Jump Around is the best CBNC. Another HS dance staple with all the guys basically jump moshing off each other. Loved that song and that year - '92 ruled, in so many ways.
    It's a hopeless situation...

I definitely choose Van Halen here but I gotta admit that I liked that Pointer Sisters song back in the day... didn't it have some sort of connection to the 1984 Olympics???

I don't want to hog the CNBC's (I assume that there are many) but here are a few:
    Third Eye Blind - Jumper
House of Pain - Jump Around
Rolling Stones - Jumpin' Jack Flash

Oh I know, these are just my personal rankings, college football style. I actually don't know any of the other songs.

I didn't known anything below Kris Kross until last night either.  Derek and Clive is an interesting story.  They're drunk alter-egos of Dudley Moore and Peter Cook, two English comedians back in the 70s.

Wait, Dudley Moore was sober at some point?
