Halloween shirt theory...

willc431994willc431994 Australia Posts: 201
This might have already been said, but...
There is no image of the back of the tee. My guess, with the tag line "They're coming for you", the back will have the 2020 tour dates.

Great way to deliver the news...

Tour announcement is on the shirt!!
Oh man it would be pretty freaking sweet if they added the 2020 tour dates on the back of that shirt.

Too good to be true. But would love it if true.

The Facebook post saying, "The Pearl Jam 2019 Halloween shirt is unlike any you've seen before. Enter if you dare: pj.lnk.to/Halloween2019Fp" seems to be very odd/intentional wording. What would make it unlike any we've ever seen before...? And then "enter if you dare?"

Did other Halloween shirts always show a back?
  • Options
I don't think that they did show the back but they also weren't hyped like this. Of course, maybe a t-shirt is hype-able when it's otherwise quiet.

I dont believe it because if someone DID have a photo of it, they'd have it on the sly on a shirt printer or something. This is straight Photoshop.

I can’t imagine that whatever marketing company that Pearl Jam employs would use a shirt that has been widely panned (probably unfairly) on these boards as the kick off for a tour announcement.  Social media and a mega press release is the only way a tour is going to be announced.  Not on the back of a niche Halloween t shirt.

Ok, so let's say that the back wouldn't have tour date info on it. Agreed that it would be a really blah way of announcing a tour. What else could the hype mean? There isn't usually this much to-do about a Halloween shirt, is there?

They hype is that it’s trump related.  Trump sells, there’s no doubt about it, and PJ is cashing in on that, expecting that by putting a somewhat hidden trump image on the shirt will cause a frenzy and sell a ton of them.
