World Wide Suicide = Undone?

Listened to both a lot lately and they're v similar, in terms of style andsubstance, but I love 'em both. Wondered what other Jammers thought?

I posted this in another thread a few days ago but it kind of fell through the floor pretty quick. It almost seems like there is a deliberate before/after connection between the WWS and Last Soldier.

Last Soldier sets the stage with the soldier's picture left behind on the altar (mantle?) when he deploys, his fate is obviously uncertain as he is at the mercy of an insensitive administration... WWS picks up on this, takes us back to the mantle... we find out that he has been killed, leaving his medals to sit there next to the photograph, his wife is left a widow...and now we are forced to question whether there isn't there another way. Both songs also seem to focus on the concept of accountability on the part of those making the decisions ie) looking the soldiers (living and fallen) IN THE EYE.

What do you think? Is this a coincidence (due to the inevitably similar focus of the songs, etc.)? I'm pretty convinced that these similarities are very purposeful.

The stuff about Undone also makes sense to me (the wave that wont break)... Do Last Soldier, Undone, and WWS all go together??

I've also thought it to be similar to Undone, but also with a touch of Do the Evolution.

knowing ed there could be a story arc through the songs. wouldn't be the first time he's done it.
it's kinda nice that he thinks like that. little vignettes that fit together.
