Happy Friday!  This week I am going with the song title, "Holiday." If there's not a band or artist listed that you feel should be, please feel free to bring it up!

Weezer - Released in 1994, off of their “Blue Album”
Madonna - Released as a single in 1983, off of her self-titled album
Green Day - Released as a single in 2005, off of their album “American Idiot”
Vampire Weekend - Released as a single in 2010, off of their album “Contra”
I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

I’m partial to Weezer’s version, because the Blue Album was the first CD I ever owned.  I listened to this song a lot.

I think "Holiday" is my favourite song on the Blue album. Especially love the guitars after the "barbershop quartet" part.

Will admit that Madonna's is also a classic and Green Day's is a gem from (imho) their last great album.

The only CNBC's I can think of are:

Sex Pistols - Holidays in the Sun
    Motley Crue - Hooligan's Holiday
    Oasis - Bonehead's Bank Holiday

Maybe I need to vary my listening a bit more!

    We will write a postcard
    To our friends and family
    In free verse
    On the road with Kerouac
    Sheltered in Bivouac
On this road we'll never die...

That’s why I include the “other” option. I always miss a few!
