damn,I wish I had written that

which song,if any,do you wish you had written?

Damn,I really wish I had written American Pie by Don Maclean.
This is the best I could come up with.

  • If there was one I wish I could've written...it would actually have to be Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden. The mystery behind the lyrics, and that beauty..so tragic yet gorgeous.. I love it...Times are gone for honest men/Sometimes far too long for snakes..
"Everyone wants to be the sun that lights up your life, but I'd rather be your moon so I can shine on you during your darkest hour when your sun's not around."

Funny... never had that feeling My-Endorphin-Rush...

Just enjoying what these beautiful souls put into writing for us.

Now, as far as "those lyrics just beautifully speak about me..."

Probably Daughter and, increasingly, Elderly Woman :p
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.
  • I'd say the lyricist i admire the most is Thom Yorke...

so many songs ive said that about...

i'll go with "Let Down" and "There There"
Come on pilgrim you know he loves you..

I shouldn't have to fight a battle I'll never win, just to lose those I've never had.
  • I find Armstong's "What a wonderful world" being the best song in the goddamn universe (both lyrically and musically) so, if I was the person who wrote it, I'd be very proud of myself... :)
