does anybody know where i can get a copy of the MTV unplugged songs?
I bought the video on ebay for $50 (AU) and as greatful as i am to have a copy of this on dodgy VHS... I would love to know if i can get it on CD or DVD... I don't know if it was ever realeased other than on TV (because i'm in Australia).. and the last time they aired it on TV that i saw was in 1992!!
I did own a copy of it back then but my mother decided to tape over it in about 1996 and it took me from then until 6 months ago to find a copy on VHS...Please Please Please help me

I never thought that much of PJ's unplugged session. I thought it was lame compared to Nirvana's. I'm not a huge nirvana fan but their unplugged session touched me and urged me to read about kurt and get into the band. its amazing. I originally went on the hunt for 'state of love and trust' unplugged because eddie's vocal blows me away on that. and i stumbled accross them all eventually.... its a good show but i think they could have employed a little more creativity and maybe altered the songs or tried new ones. I hate the way they play porch..... because they try and play it the same way they do with massive amps and electric guitars. an acoustic set shouldn't be like that..... they should have toned it down and 'accoustified it' just like nirvana did with 'come as you are' and 'penny royal tea'.
anyway, enough of my bickering!
All i want is the music files so that i can listen to unplugged at work!
But i have that on Vhs and CD already.
I absolutly love Stone Temple Pilots Unplugged too.
Their studio CD's just don't compare.
I have their other 3 dvds.. was probably one of those..
I've never heard of that electronic place, might have to check it out.
Do you know if they have a website? I live in the stix so i order most my stuff off the internet.
totally agree with you about 'porch'
State of love and trust is the main reason i love it sooo much
It's my favourite song ever.. but the studio version just doesn't have as much oomf.. Eddie sings with so much passion in all of the songs on unplugged. The songs aren't neccisarily the best versions, but the enthusiasm he sings with really gets you pumped.
i have it on dvd. the one with bit torrent. After looking at this thread last week I thought it might be a good idea to put all the unplugged mpegs i had onto a dvd making a VCD. it plays on my dvd player fine and the sound quality is pretty darn good too...... the bittorrent version is the whole kaboodle too...... its got everything... their are 10 minute breaks between some of the songs where the band just chat with audience and stuff. its a really good watch. i found the videos pretty easy to find too. didn't take me too long... and i made myself a nice dvd. its a wonder that others haven't done the same...
.... if there was some way i could perhaps get a copy to you...... ?
hmmmmm
its eddie's voice that i love too. it makes the unplugged set enjoyable. I just wish the band weren't so darn boring at the session...... you'd think they'd make an effort to be a little bit creative with their acousitc instruments. but hey... i love it all the same! Ed rocks! I'm a hardcore fan..... but that makes me an honest fan too ;-)
I like Porch on unplugged thats the first version I ever heard, and thats what made me like it.
i have all the mp3s of the session, and also all the vids, but theyre pretty shit quality vids.
i have also seen quite a few ebay sellers listing the full version on dvd format, just incase if anyone is really keen to own a dvd copy
i'm at an utter loss for words...
