*****You Are*****

This is just a beautiful love song. I'm sure there was a thread on this before, but I gave up after going back a few pages here.

This lyrically is pretty similar to Oceans, using the sea and shore to depict the writer's feelings about love. Plus it's got a hell of a rhythm to it as well!
Makes much more sense to live....in the present tense

I know I was born and I'll know that I'll die
The inbetween is mine, I am mine

Why go home??

  • Yeah, I too remember a long, long thread about this song...However, I took a break from these boards for about a few months and was unable to find it...

Yeah, "YOU ARE" imo, might be the most unique song in the PJ catalogue...Unique, in that it sounds nothing like the rest of their catalogue (not that their entire catalogue sounds the same, but you get the idea)...

I said before it has shades of new wave dance music, IMO.....Musically, I think it sounds similar to the Smiths "how soon is now" --with the synth guitars.....BUt I can relate to PJ's lyrics much more....

Its definately a bold and beautiful song about the power of love and its effect on the human, or in this case, Eddie....
