How-to: Poster Storage (Flat)
Options
Hey guys,
What is the recommended way to store posters flat? Anyone use those plastic sleeves and, if so, which one is best?

For standard 18x24 posters you can get books on Amazon for not too much that are acid free pages and those work well. Bigger posters are much more challenging to store. I have a 24x 36 book but can't locate new pages for it any longer.0

I'm ready to upgrade from my 24x36" book to a flat file. But I have no where to store one. So i'll probably just liquidate posters.

Bagsunlimited.com for all of your poster, record, and other collectible storage needs. If you don’t have room for a flat file, slide a poster box or two under your bed if your wife will let you.Post edited by Guy Dudebro on0

I use Mylar sleeves with acid free backing board. I put the sleeves in an archival newspaper box. I use acid free sheets in between posters so I put two on each side of the sleeve. Has worked out great over the last 15 years. Only problem is that you can’t easily look at them as if they were ina portfolio.0

No, I got the 24 x 36. Had a couple of larger prints I needed to store thought most of mine would've fit in the 18X24. Not sure how they are now but my wife ordered for me for Christmas in late November and didn't get until Februrary because they were back ordered. I think the 18X24 were quicker to get.0
