The venues of the Vote for Change tour 2004

I don't know about you, but I loved these places.  I saw 3 of the shows, and I absolutely loved these venues.
Reading, PA's Sovereign Center.
Toledo, OH's Sports Arena
Grand Rapids, MI's DeltaPlex

I doubt there would ever be another tour like this, but you never know.  But these shows were amazing. I love these older, boxy warehouse type arenas.   Did anyone see the other shows? Did you feel the energy of those shows due to those arenas?

Actually, Moline 2014 felt like this too.
Near to death.

Scared alive.

I was front row center in Kissimmee.  It was cool.  Similar type venue as you describe.

Kissimmee...that was one I wanted to get to, but couldnt.

Van Andel in 2006 was awesome. But that was a newer arena.  I like those old barns. :)

I know they haven't played this venue, but I think the old University of Wisconsin Fieldhouse would fit this mold perfectly. Unfortunately, I think Pearl Jam would literally bring down the upper deck.

There's a trapdoor in the sun.

It’s hard to pick between the two GR shows, but I give the edge to the 2004 show. I think PJ wanted to play VanAndel in 2004, I could be wrong, but the powers that be weren’t really in favor of voting for change.

    Detroit 2000, Detroit 2003 1-2, Grand Rapids VFC 2004, Philly 2005, Grand Rapids 2006, Detroit 2006, Cleveland 2006, Lollapalooza 2007, Detroit Eddie Solo 2011, Detroit 2014, Chicago 2016 1-2, Chicago 2018 1-2, Ohana Encore 2021 1-2, Chicago Eddie/Earthlings 2022 1-2, Nashville 2022, St. Louis 2022

Hear ye, I love the minor league rinks. Was also at Reading. Worcester 2013 was nice too, so no it isn't out of the realm of possibility for them to do "smaller" shows these days, but no an entire tour of minor league rinks is unlikely. I would be happy to see them back in Albany NY one day.

Canada 2005 was even better. Junior league rinks! Kitchener-London-Hamilton, that was something.

thunder bay’s ice arena was fun to see the show in, but the lack of a/c certainly was not.

I agree, Grand Rapids 2004 is one of my most memorable shows, because of the setting.  Ed commented onstage about the warehouse-type building, calling it “nondescript.”  Also, Tim Robbins was in the hallway signing people up to vote.

The sound at Reading was awful.  Worst sounding PJ show.  I seem to remember the PA crapping out. Gob Roberts was so bad they blew the stacks!
