We lost one of the great ones yesterday. A massive figure in South Africa, a musician who's music became known world wide. Lucky us!
A Zulu warrior, anthropologist, singer, songwriter, guitar player, Officer of the Order of the British Empire etc etc etc
This guy was a one of a kind and I had the chance to see him about 6 times over a 10 year span(recently).
His shows were a mini lesson in history mixed with music and dance of that history(Zulu African with English Lyrics)
I know Jimmy Buffett is thinking of him today as I am. Any others? My guess is not but oh well.

    I'm thinking of him now. :)   
    Thank you for posting the videos; I enjoyed watching both of them. I was really surprised at how well he was able to keep up with the other dancer in the second video!
    He had an amazing energy about him. I'm sorry he is no longer with us.

    Indeed a white zulu warrior who dances  ;)  lol  He was always mixing dance with music per their tradition. Something to witness live. wow.

    Last time I saw him he told us all about the cancer and that it would be his last world tour. So heartbreaking...
    and it was so wonderful witnessing a great musician GIVE like that...instead of just going home to sulk all day in misery(aka david jones)
    his great son, jesse clegg, will hopefully carry on the legacy of that great music but there is no replacing johnny  :(
