    I have heard that it is a song that is written about Mike!
    It was right before he went to rehab for drug and alcohol abuse. Ed is singing about how much of a shame it is to see such a great person making such a bad choice in life.

  • has he ever actually said "speaking as a child of the 90's" in a live version? everytime i hear it i wait in anticipation to hear it he will! the closest ive heard is "speaking as a 90's of the 90's" or something like that.
