    I believe the senate voted via “unanimous consent” and didn’t take a recorded or roll call vote, giving cover to some who may have been opposed but didn’t want to face the voters back home. From CNN:

    The Senate passed the bill before it officially receiving it from the House, and then adjourned. This means the bill will officially pass Congress on Wednesday.

    I want to know why he thinks focusing on Clinton and others helps him in any way. All he's doing is highlighting that anyone who spent time with Epstein is a sicko. Everyone knows that includes him.

    But as a known narcissist, he doesn’t care what other people think of him. If he can shine the light on Slick Willy and Summers, it takes some of the shine off of him, gives him cover by saying, “look, others were doing it too”, and he knows that ‘Murikkkans have short memories and by November 2026, it’ll be Epstein who? The cumulative effect is for the whole affair to be so sordid and widespread that it’s either dismissed or normalized to being acceptable. When what is released, having been previously scrubbed, shows no CCOOTWH sordidness, repubs get to say, “we told you so”.

    That and the efforts to re-district, scrub voter rolls and target intimidation leads to repubs holding the house and senate. Hope I’m wrong but me thinks it’s too late.

    but caught doing what? he was friendly with Epstein but I haven't heard anything illegal...their discussions related to a woman that Summers was seeing, not an underage girl

    Well don't forget there was the lawsuit from Jane Doe, filed back in 2016. Jane Doe was 13 at the time she claims DT and Epstein raped her. The lawsuit was dropped because Jane Doe and her family were receiving death threats. No, the emails being made public don't specifically nail DT to the wall, but we all know that the POTUS is a rapist/child rapist. Obviously, if anything in those files revealed anything about DT, it was scrubbed. I'm curious to know what else might have been scrubbed, about other people. 
    Right but I was referring to Summers. I'm sure Epstein was able to explain away the Jane Doe accusation (just like trump 1000 times) to his friends/acquaintances as "they just want my money" or something similar.

    Yes Summers was friendly with Epstein but I'm just not seeing anything real damning against him. He was friends with a shitty person but my guess is that he was unaware just like some of the others that knew Epstein personally that didn't participate in the sex ring.
