Hey guys
I've known about Pearl Jam for a while, and i like what ive heard, but have never really got into them for some reason. I'd love to know the best place to start ie. which albums are the best, songs to download, and anything else interesting about the band. Ive posted this on the Words and Music board because i can never connect fully with a song unless the lyrics are well written and i can relate on a personal level to it - its really important. From what i've heard and read about pearl jam, they definetly fill this criteria, plus their music has such amazing energy to it, you dont need to know much about them to know that. So please get back to me with good lyrics etc. Thanks! :)

Hard to know where to start when really but I'll do my best. First album I bought was Vs, and it made me go out and buy all the rest of them right away. But its not my favourite anymore(still love it though). Lost Dogs might be a good place to start aswell. Thats the b-sides album. It takes songs from their entire career so you can get a good idea of how the band has progressed over the years. the new Greatest hits would work for this too. If you're like me though and you prefer not to go for "Hits" packages, I'd say Yield would be a good place to start. It's pretty accessible for new listeners(more so than No Code) and its just deadly in general. Hope this helps.
