Hologram Tours

Has anyone gone to see a hologram tour yet?

I am thinking of going to see the Dio show....they have members of his former band backing his hologram, as well as a few other fellas singing some of his songs.

They couldn't give tickets away to that here in MN.  The review afterwards was basically it was like watching a cartoon with a crowd.

The show here in Los Angeles hasn;t sold well either.

Seems depressing. There was a Roy Orbison one that came to Boston last year. Last I had checked it was selling horribly. I don't know if it picked up or not but this sorta thing is definitely not for me.

Same here.  Especially if it's a deceased musician I had previously seen.  That would be just too creepy and weird and, worst of all, unreal.

I'd rather see the money spent on cleaning up worn footage of musicians and bands like what they did with the Rolling Stones in "Ladies and Gentlemen:  The Rolling Stones".

If it was done right as far as quality, I think it could be fun. Or if it was a band I really liked. It would be interesting to try once. It would be like watching a movie kind of. I think of live shows as being more “spiritual” experience or whatever, so this seems more like entertainment for fun, like a PInk Floyd laser light show or something. IDK. I think it would be awesome to like get hammered and watch Hologram Jim Morrison, lol. Quality of the Hologram is a big factor.
