Also know as just "Jazz Fusion". I tend to say "Jazz/Rock Fusion" or "Rock/Jazz Fusion" since those two genres are what is being fused, but for now I'll just call it "Fusion".
So anyway, I thought it would be cool to hear from any fusion fans here.
My favorite fusion artist is Larry Coryell and I finally replaced an old copy off a record he did with the jazz vibraphonist Gary Burton called Duster. This record might well be considered the birth of fusion. It actually fuses several influences, but jazz and some tinges of rock (including some interesting guitar feedback from Coryell on one number) are the main forces at work here. Great stuff and a seminal work.
