Influences on Eddie's songs

So I was wondering what effect Vedder's split with his wife had on his song writing? I know this borders on "band member's personal lives", but at the same time, it is still a legit and meaningful question on their music -- whenever I've split with girls, it's affected my music and song-writing.

I think No Code shows this the most, just look to the lyrics of "Smile" and "Hail, Hail". What do you all think? Any other songs that seem more...I guess emotional and real, than others. Anyone can write songs about past love, but when you're there, it has a greater impact.
"Speaking as a child of the nineties..."

It's been real, and it's been fun -- but it hasn't been real fun.

Ed!!! Bring back the stage dives!!!

Eddie was still married when No Code came out wasn't he?
  • By the promising topic title, I thought this discussion was going to be about whether Buk or Zinn or Chomsky influence Ed's lyrics. Sorry.
