    What happens Memorial Day weekend that causes people to get shot? Sorry if that is a dumb question but I'm not from the United States of America.

    holiday weekend, marks the unofficial beginning of summer. lot of cookouts, picnics and the like. parties will be thrown. alcohol added to the mix

    Wow it sounds like you guys live in a real dump. :i_dunno: In Ireland there's probably not even that amount of murders withing a calendar year.

    Excellent!  my 1/8th Irish blood rejoices!

    It's unusually cool and a bit rainy here for late May and as far as I know, no one in my neighborhood has been shot this weekend.
