Alive - Once - Footsteps
I've been listening to these three tracks over and over. I can fit Alive and Once perfectly, but I'm having trouble with Footsteps. This guy's obviously been through hell, as we can work out through the first two songs, but I can't grasp that he's addressing his mother. It seems like too much of a girlfriend situation. Can anyone give me any pointers!?

~You laugh because I am different, I laugh because you are all the fucking same -?~
~Education is the most powerfull weapon you can use to change the world - Nelson Mandela~
"Did what i had to do. If there was a reason it was you" -- Pretty clear. Taling about the crimes he'd committed in 'Once' and how the blame lies with the mother and the fact that she took his innocence in 'Alive'.
"Just let me continue to blame you." -- He refuses to accept blame for his won actions.
"Footsteps in the hall" -- A prison guard perhaps? Execution imminent?
All the times "It was you" is wailed... he's pointing the finger. His mother, who brought about the whole Oedipus Rex situation, is the one who brought about his crimes.
once - he becomes a delinquent and lashes out at everyone
footsteps - his childhood catches up wit hhim and leaves him on death row and i guess its as hes walking down the linoleum floor to be executed.
Has he changed the title or what?
(Me = Noob)
Is it a madeup word? Any special meaning?
It looks like mama - son which kinda where the songs are about.
Walk on with hope in your heart
YNWA
probably mama&son, mama and sOn you know?
prbably he somebody couldn't read his a and thought it was o
stone:hey eddie, are you workin on a new song?
ed: umm yes
stone: let me see you sheet (stoney can't read it) mamasan? huh? nice name
and ed thought it was good, so he kept it and never told stone about his mistake, and on the 7th day he took a drop today, you know time to emancipate, no in fact he took a rest
When he was six, he believed that the moon overhead followed him
By nine, he deciphered the illusion, trading magic for fact, no trade-backs
So this is what it's like to be an adult?
If he only knew now what he knew then
