anyone else see the tweet from PJ about there being "exclusive interviews with Matt and the rest of Soundgarden" at the NY/LA screenings? I wasn't sure if there are actual interviews in the film or if they'll actually be there live. when i saw the ticket prices, it made me think that having them show up in person would be justified.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
Butthead: Huh huh.
Is there a list of cities somewhere that I am missing?
It should be forthcoming from that site when the tickets go live on Friday.
Glad that this is happening as the price should be more accessible compared to the immersive experience event tickets, but not sure I'm ready to see myself singing along on the big screen in IMAX.

Definitely excited they are doing it. I don't understand why they would announce it and not at least list the cities though.
Excited they are doing it, but probably going with dankind.

Is this going to screen at Imax theatres in Canada? Would love to go to that.
I hope so. They said worldwide.
Gonna miss the Canada Day fireworks if we do get the Soundgarden IMAX experience.
We have 2 imax's here. The fake IMAX at silvercity, and the real IMAX at the museum. If it's at the Museum it's going to suck, because the museum is a block away from the parliament buildings and there's big festivities and fireworks downtown on Canada day :(

A friend of mine got comp'd two tix from the Artists Den and was nice enough to invite me. Brooklyn Steel is an 1800 person venue in the Industrial section of Brooklyn - with no seating (ok, maybe 10 seats for those who paid VIP packages). I don't believe they had 1800 people there, but there was a lot of PJ/Soundgarden fans in attendance. The venue had 5 screens and lots of surround sound (they called it immersive). If you closed your eyes, you could definitely imagine that they were playing live. The sound was really good. We had a good time and got to talk to a lot of great people. I'm not sure I would have paid the $80 for a normal priced ticket tho, like everyone else here has been saying, kinda steep for a movie ticket.

Went to the screening at the Wiltern where I also attended the show six years ago. Glad I held out since I also received free tickets from the Artists Den. Went with friends who were also there so it was bittersweet to be back in the same room again. Kim Thayil was there to intro the film and he got choked up at one point while he was speaking. Got off to a little bit of a bumpy start as the audio and picture were out of sync by a good few seconds for the first two songs. Kudos to the crew though as they got it back in time on the fly. Audio was loud and super clear and I liked when they would show different angles simultaneously across the five screens with Chris on the larger screen in the middle and then Kim and Ben shots on the two screens on either side respective to their stage positions. Really enjoyed finally seeing the full concert film and reliving it. Looking forward to owning the set soon.
I went to see it at the local imax last night, it was pretty incredible. It's shot perfectly, plenty of attention given to each member. Needless to say the band were on fire that night. Definitely some very emotional moments watching Chris lose himself in the music. The inevitable 'In memory of Chris Cornell' part at the end was just as crushing as I thought it would be :(
I saw it Monday night at the Indy Imax. Great show and incredible sound. They did an amazing job with both audio and video...could hear each individual instrument.
I saw them at the Louisville Palace for that tour. I also saw them in Indy a week before Chris died. I can't believe it's over. They were my favorite band until they broke up and I migrated to PJ.
