when did you start liking pearl jam, or what is your favorite time period of songs? do you like the early stuff(temple of the dog, ten, v.s.)
or the middle records - vitalogy, no code, yield?
or do you like the new stuff - binaural, riot act, new songs?

  • Got into Pearl Jam after vs when my brother made me a ten and vs tape. Drifted away after Dave was sacked, saw bootlegs in January 2001 and bought Verona, listened to Verona, Glasgow, LO2L, Binaural, No Code and Yield and was up to date again. To prevent it happening again, I listened to Riot Act at the 1st opportunity. As for the other question love it all!

  • late 90's with Yield
So that is how I learned the lesson that everyone is alone. And your eyes must do some raining if you are ever going to grow. But when crying don't help and you can't compose yourself. It is best to compose a poem, an honest longing or simple song of hope.
    That is why I'm singing

  • Got Yield for my 14th birthday in 1998.

It remains my favourite album of all time.

  • I got into PJ in late 94, when «, for my sister's birthday, she asked me to buy her a cd with some heavier music than she used to listen (Bon Jovi). I asked on the cd store and the guy pointed me PJ's Vs.

I listen before my sister got it and loved it from the beginning.
I like all their periods, i liked their start, the "middle-age" and what they are now...I feel my musical taste grew up with them
  • Summer of 92 Havent stopped listening since. Far and away my favorite band of all time

  • I started listen to Pearl Jam in probably '93, but I was 10 so I mean it wasn't a big impact on my life yet. When I was 12 in '95, I got a cd player and my first cd which was Mad Season - Above.

My older brother was a huge PJ fan and I liked them but it wasn't until after I fell in love with Mad Season's cd and found out that their guitarist was in Pearl Jam that I started really paying attention to PJ(as well as Alice In Chains).

So I have to give a big thanks to my older brother and Mad Season for finding me my favorite band.

  • i like the early stuff (ten, vs, vitalogy)

    and also yield

but vs and binaural are my favourites

ten is off the map - it doesn't count

or i should say - IT IS THE MAP
  • I was 10 in 93 and I think that's the year I got into them aswell, and it had a HUGE impact
