Flipper - Generic

I only recently decided to listen to Flipper.
Generic is so brilliant.
Anyone dig it?

Why didn't you post a video?

They were a fairly influential hard core band (with art-rock touches) from San Francisco back in the day.  Here's a sample of what they were about:

    Why should I have?
I am sure people that like the band won't need a video from me.....

I love the screaming vocals. Wish I could do that. I can see why Kurt loved them and how they influenced him.

Yeah Flipper were a huge influence on the grunge bands.
Kurt wore a Flipper t-shirt he made himself on SNL and can be seen in photos wearing it.

Flipper was thought to be one of the best hardcore bands out there at the time.

They got a pretty decent mention in American Hardcore documentary.

    Awesome band.  Enjoy!

Listen to Black Dots by The Bad Brains while you're in this mood, then find the Dischord compilation Flex Your Head and we can talk some more!

Yeah, that was a cool segment of that film.  And the movie itself is one of the best punk documentaries around.

I have that documentary on dvd but cannot remember Flipper in it, mind you it's been a very long time since I've watched. Might have to watch it again soon.

I love Blow N Chunks and Gone Fishing too. Been listening to both on YouTube. I'm going to have to purchase on iTunes.

Black Dots is awesome cause it's the Bad Brains.

Flex Your Head is an album that changed my life.  Early Minor Threat, Rollins in teen idles and State of Alert, Faith/Void, GI.  So many awesome bands on this album.

You might want to give Youth of Today a listen too.

Rhorshack, Born Against, Pailhead, Meatmen, GBH Charged.  All fantastic bands that you would like.

Another compilation that's great is called "Give Me Back".  https://www.discogs.com/Various-Give-Me-Back/release/468938

    Enjoy.

The only band that matters for me right now. They reflect how I feel about life.

That is beautiful.  You're missing one version though.
