I'm listening to it right now from Lost Dogs. What does it make you think of? I think of a person running down an alley followed by a car "very comicstrip-esque" and at the end of the alley behind the car is a lighted street, but the light doesn't reach within the alley. I don't know if the car catches up of if the person runs away. I love this song!

I have to listen to that again. I can feel a green beret/special forces g.i. joe sound in it.

But then I can hear treasure hunters in it. The kind that go underwater to ships that sank hundreds of years ago so that they can get to the gold.

  • After hearing the version with words behind it, I don't hear it the same way anymore. Beautiful song, but I kinda wish I'd only heard the instrumental. I liked it more that way.

Brothers makes me picture the band members fighting about weather or not a song can have no words to it. As my brother - or half brother - to be precise has such a song, I am inclined to think a song can have no lyrics. I was tickled pink to learn later that this song is called "Brother". Hey! Get off my Wave!
  • this song reminds me of a storm at sea. im not quite sure why. something about the aggression building and swelling in the beginning until it hits a ceiling and goes back down. the eye of the storm is the middle of the song. calm and relaxed yet you can still feel the energy below the surface, trying to get out. then the storm rages on, whipping rain and howling winds. as the songs builds back up i picture a choppy black sea against a similar sky, relentlessly pushing and pulling anything on its surface. as well as furious waves reaching out from the ocean. i see this song, like oceans, present tense and release, as a wave or a series of waves.
i have never heard this song with words and i am scared it might ruin this vision for me...sometimes i make up my own words though.

I finally got to hear the words version, and see the lyrics. I think on a different thread a long long time ago i wrote that I would back the little brother, and considering the lyrics . . . I still think that:D It reminded me of my older sister/me. Geez louize.

Ohmygawd! I just realized I'm twofaced. I wouldn't accept hearing that other song, what is it, that one people always discuss . . . I'm still here. That's it. However, when the chance came around to hear this song i didn't think twice.

I publicly apologize to Eddie for being a hypocrite. I guess if someone wants me to hear I'm Still Here I'll force myself to listen since the damage is done anyway. . .

  • I don't think of anything, I just let them jam. I just let the melody calm me and my mind is blank.

I like the non-words version. I was running to it yesterday, and I'm like oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah!

I have never heard the version with words. Where can I find it?
