Saw a preview of the new Play it Loud exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY. Many very cool and iconic rock instruments. Among others, John Lennon's Rickenbacker guitar, Ringo's drum kit, Keith Moon's "Pictures of Lilly" Drum Kit, along with the rest of The Who's instruments from that era, a bunch of Jimmy Page guitars, Hendrix's white Strat and the "Love Drops" Flying V, Custom psychedelic guitar and bass from Clapton and Jack Bruce, Clapton's "blackie" Strat, Eddie Van Halen's "Frankenstein," Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Number 1" Strat, Springsteen's Strat from Born to Run, and much more. There is also a room with the the stage set-up for jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, Keith Richards and Tom Morello, along with video of each of them.
It will be there for another six months; highly recommended for anyone who will be in the area
