Mmm, Wide awake and he shakes in a panic. Never woke up alone Ever before.
Had a woman long as he can remember. His to forget ?
But he can't, he can't.
Out of bed and he dreams in the shower. She's standing naked, He's apologizing.
Reaches for her and the water turns red. Got woken up to be Burned, burned again. ?

Got his knees to his face, she can't take it any other way. ?

On the street he's walking wounded. Doesn't smile for the child at play.
Thoughts of suicide and alleviation. Anything to get his heart off of Nicole.

Have we discussed this one? I'm sure we have. I'm listening to it right now, and since I'm a big Lost Dogs fan I think it's time to have a little look see at what this is all about eh? This is my favorite PJ song.

What do you think? I put little question marks near phrases I don't undertand? I didn't realize there was an actual name, Nicole, in there. Who'd knew? Grounds the lyrics.

    Wow!... I've been listening to this song for half of my life and I never noticed there was a Nicole in there! Spokieeeee.... She's the ghost in this song, like a pale face in the mirror. I always thought he said something like "anything to get his heart out of the cold". Talk about song misinterpretations! :)
    Sexy song, though. Has "wild make up sex" written all over.

    I don't know about you, but "knees to his face" makes me think of someone being in the fetal position. Does that help any?

    But "Nicole, the ghost" is posted on the official 10C site version, to. Where the hell did she came from, anyway?...

    There's a repeated theme from "Black", also:

    the studio version says "snakes in a panic" in the first line and "shakes in a panic" in the the fourth last line.
