Tampa 08/12/00 Question

I don't have this show on disc yet, but just ordered a new copy from Amazon new for $8.99. That's the good news. The disc is often cited as one of the best of the 2000 tour, but I was reading the AllMusic review of the disc (they gave it 2 1/2 stars) and their reviewer said the sound quality is lacking, sounding echoey and rather poor for the series. I have read nothing but great reviews other places, and was wondering what the folks here thought of the sound quality on this disc. I can't afford too many of these, so I wanna make every purchase count. Certainly you understand...

Sorry, I guess this should have been posted on "The Porch" section...hey, I'm new...

So much for the AllMusic.com guide's rock solid reviewers...I've been listening to the show on pearljamlive.com and aside from the kick-ass quality of the performance, the sound quality appears to be excellent! The Amazon.com reviewers have more accuracy in their opinions. Makes me wonder if the allmusic lackey even heard the discs...

yeah, it's agreat site. You can listen to most any live show, and after some wirecrossing, (interference from another song, like "W.M.A." e.g.) every song plays uninterrupted.
