My RSD haul! Got in line at Zia Records in Tucson at 5:50am, was the 7th person in line (and the first two guys were wanting PJ too). But I got everything I really wanted. Everyone was being super cool and helping each other look out for what they were wanting. Always fun heading out to RSD and always fun making new friends along the way.

Strolled in around 1:00...no dice on The Crow or Floyd but managed to pick up WTF. The free swag was cool. Picked up a PJ button and the Dogfish Head print.

There was still a stack of 8-10 Easy Streets. $29.99 for that is rough. Will wait to see what the deal with the 10C version is.

Guessing that @pjl44 went Newbury Ripoffs, which is hardly an independent record store at this point.

Looking for Tweedy. Already around $100 on the secondary.
Wow! Really? I saw it at Mills Record Co and Records with Merritt—both in Kansas City. Maybe give them a ring?

I was at my 2nd store and found Chris Robinson Brotherhood. It had no marking except for a well disguised CRB. While standing in line I noticed 3 of the 3" players. I also noticed that he had the 3" blind packs packaged as a set of 4 in a ziplock. Apparently the distributors shipped them out this way so that there are 4 different 3" records in one zip bag. I was like no way!! He wouldnt let you buy the 3" records without also buying the player. So I did. I want to open them so bad just to confirm they are all 4 different records.

    Others I scored:
    PJ Easy
    Seven Mary Three
    Basketball Diaries
    The Crow
    CRB
    Tedeschi Trucks
    Shark

Missed out on Magpie so I'll be looking for that one.

I was curious, so I counted.  The Exchange has 30 locations from Chicago to Pennsylvania, with 16 in NE Ohio, 10 in PA, 2 in Indy and 2 in Chicago.  None of these locations are in malls, but they are strip mall locations.

Newbury Comics has 28 locations in 6 states, many of which seem to be mall stores.  I heard that they moved the Newbury Comics location that I visited with you and Halifax when I was there 3 years ago.

Indeed. Although, I'll pass on being the grizzled hipster when I see what's happened to the prices of used vinyl at truly indy places like Cheapo. I'll always be grateful that Newbury existed back when my other choices were Circuit City and FYE.

For further comparison, I paid $17.99 for the WTF which seemed reasonable.

They’re used records were priced about the same as their new records. In one case, Stevie Wonder’s Innervisions, the used copy was MORE!

I’m amazed that I haven’t come across any rips for Tweedy yet. I had my son yesterday morning and didn’t want to drag him an hour to the record shop bright and early. Surely that will be released later on the Wilco store, yeah? They did with last years RSD release.

No PJ left locally but I just ordered online from Dr Strange Records so I got four for four after all

Did you get an email confirmation from Dr. Strange? There was some chatter on The Porch earlier today about Dr. Strange's inconsistencies with fulfilling RSD orders.

That Sugarhill 12” box set is bangin’! I might need to scoop that up. But I bet if I’m patient, it’ll be a 50% off title on Insound in about six months.
