Did they not say that they have not been in the studio though and nothing to do with writing? We already knew they had a bunch of songs and CDM according to them was one of the best so they recorded it. I like his optimism. It is much better than the RS interview and also the Stone/Jeff interview.
I didnt have any doubt about it.... we are still on..never was any other way ..and if i have to bet ..Australia will be 1st destination of tour

It's been two weeks since his comments in Rolling Stone came out saying that he wasn't sure what was going on (which started this thread). Either he misspoke at that point, or they've been real busy the past couple weeks. Either way, I'll take him for his word and use this happy info to start my Friday happy hour! Cheers friends! Have a great weekend!

Just need one appearance in North America before they load the gear onto the cargo plane.

Sounds promising, he made it sound like we should be getting a new album this year!
I doubt it can be produced that fast anymore, and they still would need to start booking the tour as well. Assuming it's actually true they are still recording (some time, somewhere, periodically? 2 weeks ago? Half done? Almost done?), it will be a 2020 release for sure.

A fall release still could work (lots of albums that will come out in the fall are still being worked on and will through the summer). I think its very much a possibility.
Also there could very well be a small US tour in Nov or Dec. But thats a longer shot given touring history.

Nice, maybe they should’ve signed a 2019 photo of them in the studio.

Although in this instance I am inclined to believe the musicians are making music
so grateful my favorite band is still around.
But would this be like how South America was 2013, but not LB tour or would new songs debut down under...
