..similarly Hitch-Hiker....I was not a pj fan around the time vs came out, had only heard like even flow on the radie...and a friend sat me down with the lyrics and had me listen and read along to every song.......

....was hooked immediately and have been craving more and more ever since...

VS is THE most brutal piece of Pearl Jam art. I loooooooove this album!! It captures such an awesome time too...for the band & music in general. I remember when it first came out a lot of people swore Ten would be it for PJ...one hit album. As soon as I popped in VS I remember just being floored and grinning from ear to ear thinking "OMG they have fuckin done it again, they are back with serious vengeance."

♥ Dave A too! The outta control cymbal usage just adds to the beating that is VS. Beeeeeautifully brutal.

Actually, I was walking home from school today listening to VS. in my walkman, and I seriously looked over my shoulder during that special effects part in WMA after the verses. I actually thought that there was somebody behind me, because I never listened to it that closely before. >_>

Vs. is my favorite PJ cd, but Dissident is the best song on there. A dissident, or disagreement is what America is fueled by to move on as an economy. A dissident is here.

lol Im listening to Go now (Las Vegas 6/6/03...opener!)

Its also good for a 3 hour flight back to Chicago. I love every song on that album, especially Elderly woman...small town. What a great song!!!!!!!

GO just beat the fuck outta me....that song does NOT mess around. Evanston29, I love that version!! That Vegas show was just as brutal as VS...those first 4 songs? Holy hell.
