As with all physical media, it will degrade over time.  Lightly played, properly handled, & well kept you should have no worries of it lasting your lifetime, if not longer.  Now, if you frequently leave it out in the sun, poorly handle it, use it as a drink coaster, throw it on the floor of your car when done listening, etc, it's gonna degrade or corrupt a lot faster.  It never hurts to make a lossless backup just so you can burn another copy if something does happen to it, but handled with care it'll be fine for a long time.

I take very good care of my boot collection. Stored at home in cases.

When you have between 80-100 shows you can only play or get to an individual show every so often, so lightly played would be a good example for most of my shows. Was just hoping that in 10-15 years from now they wont all be POOP.

I got an email notification from NUGS late last night that boxsets 1 & 2 have shipped.
USPS tracking says it is in Santa Barbara today,
and is showing Monday, April 1st as the estimated delivery date.
I'm not counting on that, because they usually use media mail for shipping...
and not sure a package can go from California to Ohio that quickly. 
I'll keep everyone posted and get these out to you as soon as possible!!

I actually got an order in last week and they used USPS. It only took 5 days to get to me in Canada and I’m closer to the east coast than the west. Very satisfied with this. Shocked actually

My box has been sent on 21/03 and delivered on 01/04...Not bad ! And it was nicely packaged.
