evolution- "i can kill coz in god i trust"

more a reference to the state of america i think. also i think the main reason people are down on christian rock is coz u can not sit there and listen to the music instead it is "u should pray" "save your soul" "without god u r empty". i know bands are meant to convey there feelings but when u r forcing opions down people throats that sux

about once- i was watching the pinkpop video cause im cool like that and when he says "ive got a 16 guage buried under my clothes" he put his hands to his head in the form of a gun. so does that mean his brain is the 16 guage and its a powerful weapon? cause thatd be pretty impressive if thats what he meant

  • Sometimes has a lot to do with religion and God.
"I'll do whatever the song dictates - if it doesn't need a real lead, then I won't do one. But if it does, then I'll fuckin' go off." - Mike

"Japan is awesome; the fans there knew all the words to all the songs...at least phonetically." - Stone

"I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version." - EV

I think about this all the time since I'm a believer and I know Eddie's stance on Christianity.

I find it interesting when he does mention God or things pertaining to God. One of the most interesting or the one I enjoy the most is "Push Me Pull Me". There's a cool live version online. I forget where I downloaded it from. Here's my top 3(not in order)
    1. Satans Bed (mentions angels)
    2. Push Me Pull Me
    3. Sometimes

Those would be some pretty impressive lyrics if you thought of it, and it was written, in that manner. I've never really tried to interpret the song but it's always been a favorite of mine. Where'd you get the video?
"Last time I think we played that song here was like, a long time ago, and there was a bonfire in the back and people were like throwing each other into it...very exciting days but a huge fucking relief that that's not how it is tonight..." Ed Irvine Night 1 2003, after Deep
