Like for example -- Eddie Vedder re-recorded a brand new version of Release for the movie Out of the Furnace in 2013.
Might be sacrilege, but I prefer that version to the original. It captures some of the live greatness

That time Eddie Vedder led a rousing standing ovation for KISS (and Pac) presenting an award to Hootie and the Blowfish at the Grammys.

Basecamp bootleg downloads and the original vault series back in 2006. I still have my confirmation email for the Las Vegas '93 show, which was $10.74. That was a glorious download back then.

The time when a member in their fan club participated in Pearl Jam's message board and was overly sensitive ("offended" and/or "ganged up on" even) about pretty much everything any other member(s) wrote there which did not agree precisely with that member's opinions.

We all can have different views of @mcgruff10 but I think he’s pretty cool and a part of the jamily.

I actually don't remember this at all! I wonder what rock I was living under at the time. Would love to have these released.
I think we just solved our Christmas single issues...

I found that one. BUt it sounds like he/they recorded several songs? And the only one ever used and released was release.

Yes, he recorded several new songs for the film. But the director choice in the end to not use them. His answer in an interview was something to the effect of "it was impossible to not start focusing on Eddie when his songs came on".
