Going to California, easy. Surprised to see so many Black Dog votes!
Everyone except you and me have lost their ability to rock. The others kinda rock, but it’s more like Elaine trying to dance than what a rocker would accurately call rocking out.

    The Battle Of Evermore
This poll sucks hard, haha. This album is near perfect to me. I was in high school from '77 - '80 and this was the soundtrack of my youth. Which favorite do I put a bullet in? Damn it! No fillers in this one. First round sucked. This round is worse!

    When the Levee Breaks
When The Levee Breaks was one that I connected with least when I first listened to the record as a teenager. It's still a great song all the same.

The real answer to this question is locked in Jimmy Page's mind. Zoso is contained in the first symbol of the 5 symbols on the front of the Led Zep IV album. There are actually 5 signs, the last one being for Sandy Denny who duets with Plant on Battle of Evermore. The first sign - the actual Zoso has to do with Jimmy Page being a Sagittarius, it has been said. There are also people who think that there are occult ties to the symbolism because of Jimmy Page's extreme interest in the occult (he lived in Alistair Crowley's house)..

If you really want to delve into the meaning behind the symbols and why they were chosen and possible alternate meanings, here is a pretty thorough website -

In place of a title, Page decided each member could choose a personal emblem for the cover. Initially thinking of a single symbol, he then decided there could be four, with each member of the band choosing their own. He designed his own symbol and has never publicly disclosed any reasoning behind it. It has been argued that his symbol appeared as early as 1557 to represent Saturn. The symbol is sometimes referred to as "ZoSo", though Page has explained that it was not in fact intended to be a word at all

The beginning of Black Dog irritates me. It strikes a nerve in me actutally. Just like the beginning of Gonna See My Friend. I like both songs but only after the start. Black Dog was completely overplayed on southern rock radio when I was in high school so that doesn't help it's cause either. I'm trying not to fixate on that though. I really think the beginning of that song just irritates me for some reason. It hurts my ears. It's still pretty badass though... I hate this poll

There is no good answer to this poll. Each song is great or important in its own way.
